Rolsroyce- I've had the surg. and the result will be determined by how much work you need done. In other words, how lean you are, if you need lipo, if you need skin removal, or if you are lean you should just need glandular tissue removed. You can't expect miracles, be realistic going into the surg. and you be disapointed. I had a great surgeon but I did have complications with my surgery. I stay around 6-10% b.f. year round so I just needed to have glandular tissue removed. I was put under with anastesia. While recovering I had excessive swelling on one side. I had gotten an infection which caused blood to coagulate in which it turned into soft tissue or a hemotoma (blood clot). Talk about a scare. The Doc then put me into an emergency surgery under a local anastesia. That was the most discusting feeling. Take a dentist visit and multipy the intensity by about 1000%. FUN! Nothing like being awake while your nipple is cut half of in front of your very eyes. While you have someone digging around in your fascia. It may not have hurt but just an awkward feeling. Now I don't blame my doc for the 2nd surgery. It was my own fault. I was rushed back to work 2 days after the first surgery. As my skin was trying to bond to the fascia, I tore it away not even knowing that it had happened which then caused that pocket of fluid to form causing the hematoma.
Ok, down to then point. I would have the surgey done again in a heart beat. I also would have taken more time to recover. Will I need to have the surgery done again? Most likely. My Doc said that he didn't want to remove the whole gland because he said it would form a divit if he did. So I still have some glandular tissue that can still turn into more gyno. Now when you meet with the surgeon they'll probably charge you a consultation fee. Do your research and narrow it down to the top 3 plastic surgeons in your area. It is worth it to get a 2nd or even third opinion. You may pay that fee but it'll be worth it in the long run. The cost diference from one surgeon to another could be the differnce of thousands of dollars. If you're trying to get your insurance to cover it GOOD LUCK! Mine claimed that it was a cosmetic surg. So I had to pay 100% of it out of pocket. Anyway, good luck hopefully this will help a bit. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate.:st:r-wars
