Who has switched to a non-inflammatory diet?

I call bullshit on a lot of "organic" labeled foods at the store... Or cage free or free roam..... Unless you raise the animal and have it slaughtered yourself or know somebody that does it then idk how organic something really is.... But fuck I guess that can be said for a lot of shit.... Just contradicted my own point lol

This is what he recommends


Wake up (7am) drink 16oz chicken bone broth with 15g plant based glutamine


10am later drink 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar mixed in 16oz water. Wait 20 min drink this:
- 12oz extra strong black coffee
- 1.5 tablespoons mct oil
- 2 tablespoons organic grass fed butter
- 10g bhb salts (keytones)

- drink 15g plant based BCAA


12pm. green smoothie (makes 2 shakes)
5 large handfuls of kale
5 large handfuls of power greens
1 cup broccoli sprouts
3 tablespoons hemp seeds
3 tablespoons chia seeds
2 cups frozen organic blueberries
1 cup frozen pineapple
1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup cranberry juice not from concentrate
1/2 cup organic whole Greek yogurt
3 scoops mixed greens alkaline powder
2 scoops plant based protein
1 tablespoon beet root powder
1 tablespoon cordecyps mushroom powder
1/2 teaspoon spirulina
1/4 teaspoon ashwaghanda


Train 2pm while training drink 20oz coconut water and 15g plant based EAA/BCAA mixture, 15g plant based glutamine


3-4pm Post workout- other half of green drink

If needed later start with coffee:
8oz black coffee
1 tablespoon mct oil
2 tablespoons grass fed butter
10g keytones salts

4 whole omega 3 eggs, 5-7 slices organic bacon, 1/2 cup chopped spinach, 1/2 cup chopped mushroom, pico de gallo.

1.25 gallons water
Atleast 7 hours sleep
Lightly use pink salt on all solid food meals

- l tyrosine 1000mg 3x day between meals on empty

But fuck me, this sounds exhausting :eek:

Why dont you try a pescatarian diet for a month or 2.

Worked for me, may not work for you.

I did for 2 months + 0 alcohol, I felt great with the exception of the first two weeks, I was slugish from missing key B vitamins aka red meat.

Loads of veggies, fresh fruits beans and cold water fish + seafood

But I was never bloated, always felt full and hardlly felt exhausted.
 
There's some pretty good science in that program. A lot of that stuff I've seen in Dr. Rhonda Patrick's stuff.

If health and wellness were my priorities, I would strive to do exactly that.
 
First just try dropping wheat and dairy.

I agree with this too, and to expand a little bit, the problem with wheat is not the wheat itself, but gluten. Gluten is a problem for the MAJORITY of people. There are so many possible reactions to Gluten that most people will never imagine that Gluten is causing some rare lifelong effect or disease. There are cases in which people with rare skin disorders and even lung issues like COPD have been immediately cured when stopping gluten. Not all of cases of course, but some people are that sensitive to gluten. Gluten can cause a wide spectrum of variety disorders and chronic diseases including asthma, rosacea, psoriasis reproductive issues, gastric problems, allergy problems, etc. Again, not all these diseases are caused by gluten but a lot of people who stop gluten can see a complete cure of the disease.

One of the first things to do when reorganizing a diet is to stop gluten. Specifically Wheat, Barley, Rye and Oats. Avoid Oats even if it says gluten free.

That seems almost undoable for someone that has a life(kids, wife, works alot).

I could see if one is in a life or death situation..otherwise that looks massively time consuming.
 
Sounds interesting. Is the post-workout meal, only the 1/2 of the green shake, then a couple of hours later the eggs with bacon and veggies?

Correct. Apparently the diet is not designed by weight it's the same diet he uses and he's 220. I'll have to ask him about that though.
 
I've got a wife and kids and about to open my new businesss so this is something I'll have to ease into. First I'll try switching to plant based protein with plant bars bcaa's to see bc I get the runs off whey. I'll also try and triple my veggie intake and get more protein from eggs than meat and see how I feel and go from there. And ill add greens and the apple cider vinegar. Those smoothies I'll have to ease into bc I won't have time for all of that daily.

Thyroid labs?

Adrenal Labs? Diurnal cortisol kit would be best


Multiple thyroid labs. All good. Saliva cortisol was good but I was on adderal then so maybe it skewed it. Getting a new endo soon so I'm going to get more extensive adrenal testing as that's the only thing I haven't really tested. What's odd is I've felt this way ever since I started GH for the first time back in 05. Pharmacy serostim. 3-4iu's per day buty fasting glucose is normal and A1c was normal 3 years ago but I was just restested again for it.
 
Have you had a blood test for all food allergies?
 
For a basic smoothie just try banana, leafy greens ( kale,spinach, etc) and frozen berries. Start there and add stuff as you get in the habit of making them. You can toss all types of things into them like protein powder or flax seeds.

Thanks for sharing all this info. Are there any specific brands you are looking into for the plant based protein, BCAA's and glutamine?

Only other thing I'm thinking is maybe I have some type of adrenal issue. I got the few times per day saliva test and it was fine but maybe there are other adrenal tests I need to get done to see. I'm going to get a new Endo soon but if anyone knows any good adrenal tests let me know. Thanks

I think it's been quite a few years since I had those two tested. I am getting a new endocrinologist next week I will let him know. The only cortisol test I had done was the saliva test that came back normal not urine or blood.
 
So what's with all of this talk about whey protein being extremely acidic and inflammatory? Supposedly a brown rice protein with Pea protein has the same muscle building amino acid profile as whey? Or you add plant based bcaa's to it. I never hear about plant-based proteins only whey, egg, beef isolate and casien

Canary labs has a diurnal cortisol kit for a fair price. Relatively quick turnaround/results too

I've dealt with thyroid problems for years and have to say I think

FREE T3 and REVERSE T3

are by far the most important thyroid labs to get done
