Who here weighs their food? Do you only do it pre contest? Do you weigh it cooked or uncooked?
 
I got in the habbit of doing it. Everything is weighed and measured. Even during mass gaining phases. All my meals are cooked, weighed, measured; if I want something extra ill just eat it.
 
way too anal for me.....
 
Agree with Cito. I weigh just to make sure I get enough. If I want more or something else, I eat it, especially during bulk phase. That's the place I am now

At least until you can eyeball things. But this takes years. I can look at a plate of food and tell you the macro breakdown but I weigh stuff out anyway out of habit.
 
Weigh and measure everything.......it's just habit now after years and years of doing it.
 
I'm prepping for my 1st show...never weighed foods before but now everything is measured...I actually like doing so
Proteins I weigh precooked.... Carbs like rice and oats are measured dry....and veggies cooked.
 
Only weigh if coming down, if not. Eat and look in the mirror.
 
I weigh everything. its so simple everyone should be able to do it.
 
Weigh everything in contest prep.

Weigh everything on a serious offseason blast.

Don't weigh food on my lazy offseason cruise.

BUT! Firm believer that there is two pop-tarts in each package for a reason and both must be eaten in one sitting! :D
 
It has become a habit for things like carbs. But typically, I can eyeball most meats.
 
I never weight food. I used to at first, but I can just look at food (ex. Chicken) and tell you how much 8-9 ounces is.. Only thing I measure out is oil/peanut butter..
 
Most of my meat comes pre weighed and the rest is easy to
 
Weigh everything. If Im gaining fat, Ill drop carbs or calories by 10% or vice verse, revaluate 2wks later
 
Weigh and measure year round. cooked measurements. Robot mode!

Laughing at all the people who think they can "eyeball" their food. Any of them ever been shredded, or won a show?
 
Waiting for someone to say they weigh their meals and what they dumbed in their toilet to find out how much they have digested:p

I weigh or measure. Especially when cutting. I believe that you need to know what you're consuming, so you know by how much to increase/decrease it.

i.e. Gotta know where you are, to know how to get where you're going.
 
if you put a chicken breast on the scale, determine that it is only half of what you are supposed to eat, choose to grab another chicken breast which seems to be almost exactly the same size, give or take 10 grams....

would you throw the other chicken breast onto the scale?



if you would, go kill yourself already



you think that 10 grams matters? LOL



Do you walk the same amount of footsteps each day?
