At 21 years old I was sponsored and bodybuilding was life. I wasn't happy, thought the drugs were harming me (never saw a real side effect), quit taking everything. I focused on getting my cardio up and joined the military.
I always remained very strong and had to work to keep my cardio up. I continued to stay away from aas because I was convinced it would harm me, and I was afraid the mass would kill my cardio. I always maintained an Army PT score above 300.
I ended up with a career ending back injury. Couldn't do as much, got depressed and started getting fat for the first time. My sex drive had been low since coming off everything in my 20s.
I saw an hrt doc and my test was right at 200. They wanted to try something else before trt so we did hcg and Clomid. A few months later my test came back at 140. The dr said they didn't want to put me on test because my wife and I chose not to have children and they were afraid of being sued if I was prescribed test and ended up not being fertile later. I told the dr either they put me on hrt or I'm walking out and doing it myself. The doctor refused, and I did just that.
Getting back on test has made my life much better. I had been off everything for over 15 years. Now, I've gotten more involved in the bodybuilding life again, so hrt has evolved into blast and cruise.
