I understand nostalgia. Those were special times in bodybuilding. But they were different times.
It seems like many yearning for previous generations are overlooking Classic. Symmetry, condition, balance, proportions. That's the class to a T.
Imagine if this crop of classic guys weren't worried about making weight. They wouldn't place well against the shear mass of today in the Open. But their look would be much closer to some of the previous beloved bodybuilding eras.
This is not what's rewarded though. Otherwise Marty couldn't hold a candle to Bumstead.
