Why use Monero rather then Bitcoin...

The Gov's will ban Crypto's...

And/or its a scheme to get people into the future cashless society where all transactions will be digital and monitored.

Privacy is becoming a concern with Bitcoin.

NO ONE has privacy online. I mean NO ONE. EVERYTHING is monitored. They just are not looking at you specifically, or have not found reason to bring you down.

The NSA was able to the use the 'writer invariant' method of stylometry to compare Satoshi's 'known' writings with trillions of writing samples from people across the globe. By taking Satoshi's texts and finding the 50 most common words, the NSA was able to break down his text into 5,000 word chunks and analyse each to find the frequency of those 50 words. This would result in a unique 50-number identifier for each chunk. The NSA then placed each of these numbers into a 50-dimensional space and flatten them into a plane using principal components analysis. The result is a 'fingerprint' for anything written by Satoshi that could easily be compared to any other writing. The NSA then took bulk emails and texts collected from their mass surveillance efforts. First through PRISM and then through MUSCULAR, the NSA was able to place trillions of writings from more than a billion people in the same plane as Satoshi's writings to find his true identity. The effort took less than a month and resulted in positive match

Off topic, but they put this effort in because they want to ensure that bitcoin is not the creation of some foreign state looking to take down America's financial institutions.

:yeahthat: Very sad, but so very true.

Monero, Dash, Zcash and a few others have code in place that secures anonymity. Bitcoin is a transparent and public blockchain that functions as a ledger of all past transactions. If one has the wallet address one can know the entire history of transactions (from which wallets and how many btc) and the amount of bitcoin currently in that specific wallet. If you are moving large amounts of heroin or cocaine this is obviously a bad thing even if connecting to the wallet through encryption, you are one step closer to providing evidence in a prosecution against yourself.

Who is Satoshi!?

Maybe it took place in this building in Utah that was built recently? I vaguely remember hearing though that they aren't using it now? Anyone know what the case is?

Has Satoshi's true identity been made public? I thought it hadn't?

there are more than a handful of cryptos that are used for stictly illegal means. these are much more secure than bitcoin for such puposes.

Apple is the worst of the worst.
Samething like hushmail. They let the people believe it was safe but it wasn t. It was easy for the gov to bust all the sources because every letter send or typed was monitored from the beginning.
Only safe way to communicate is the give a written note lîke they do in italy.
Many people believe what s app is safe but it is NOT

Be like the Taliban and use a courier with an encrypted thumb drive.

They definitely use that building. I live in Utah, and I see people go up there all the time since my route to work and back goes past this place. They even pay our highway patrol to sit like security guards at the entrance roads that lead to it.

Maldorf, Satoshi is the mythical creator of Bitcoin. He was mining bitcoin hard as creator when difficulty was low and owns thousands and thousands of wallets each with a few hundred bitcoins in them. Basically the first few blocks of bitcoins mined are owned by him....and it tapers down as bitcoin began to be mined by others too.

His net worth would be billions today.

IF he exists.... :)
