Not sure if this has been discussed in detail before.
I noticed for me that different body parts seem to respond to different styles of training. For example, arms. For triceps, heavier weight and less volume. Whereas for biceps, lower weights but more volume. Legs. Quads less weight but more volume. Hamstrings heavier weights but less volume.
Does anyone here program their training similar to that?

Along the same lines, I find that the exercise will dictate the rep range. I no longer try to fit everything in the same box.

I figured out a long time ago that the only things that matter for me are intensity and frequency..sets and reps don’t matter…just how often I do them and how hard I go

I think most guys who’ve been training awhile and know their body train this way. Like for me, arms and quads respond better to higher reps and more intensity techniques. My my back, chest, and hams really like heavy work in the 10-12 range

I program more frequency for parts I want to bring up and volume.

And I find what works now won't work as well in 3 or 6 months. I change routines every few weeks/months just to hit the same muscles but different. Compound movements all the same but with different squeezes at the end to hit the muscle hard etc.

Me too! That’s why I said sets and reps don’t matter for me…because ultimately everything works..just not forever

It's not always the nature of the muscles themselves,
But it is often the nature of the movements and body position in relation to gravity with free weights. Or the angle of resistance, whatever. Get it?
Muscles have their differences, even with age, but people often attribute issues to the muscles themselves which are more related to the excersies which are possible to be performed.
You'll know how to get it done when you feel the fatigue.
