Hi,

I've heard a lot of different opinions on specific routines and how long you should do them to get results, etc. Some say that you have to change it up and some say that you have to stick with it for a period of time. Both of which I think are true in certain instances.

My Question is: How long should I stick to a workout routine before I start or try something different?

Ex: (If I was doing the exact same thing every time I went into the gym wether it was a split or full body workout)

hope the question makes sense, just wanted to make a quick post before I left for work and see what I get from it! I can explain in better detail later!

The old cliche of 'it all works...just not for long'

I try to keep some elements of each program, but changes seem to need to be made every 6 weeks or so for me.
 
Just do it until your stop beating your weight/reps each week or until it gets stale. This typically is about every 5-7 weeks for me. Just make sure you stick to something long enough to get the benefits
