Hey. So I'm not exactly a beginner. But I have only really worked out well for a year or so. Diet hasnt ever really been great but it is getting there. Anyway. I saw the suggested routine in the basic growth principles sticky. But it doesnt make too much sense. ! work set on Incline press? and how many reps, just as an example. Can anyone outline the routine with how many sets and reps need to be done? Bonus points for what percent of my max the lift should be. Main goal is, of course, size. Thanks!
 
I think the key is to know your body and how it responds to training. If you are following the routine from Big A then make sure you get enough warmup's in and give it 110% on the workset. Then the next time you come to that lift you need to be either adding weight or reps to that workset. Progression is most important, try keeping a log of your weights.

As for exact sets and reps for say Incline bench try a weight you can just barely do 8-10 reps for. So after you get warmed up that last rep of 8 or 10 should be all out to failure or just about failure. But don't be afraid to try different ranges like upping the weight and only doing 6 reps. or vice versa

Strength Standards will put one together base off of your max lifts. :headbang:
