I recently had the same type thing, not for the first time either.
I made it through most of my workout, feeling tired, weights were feeling heavy.
I unracked the weight for my first warm up of squats, said, "shit" reracked the weight and ended the workout there. Probably later than I should have.
Sometimes you need to listen to what your body is saying and give it a break.
