WU letter i received

Never had this happen...curious if any others have. Letter states ...a transaction amount of 325$ was sent by me in 1/2013 and it was never received. If i want to claim these funds complete the bottom part of this letter including a copy of my government issued drivers liscense and proof of address...odd?

Be careful and make sure it is legit. It could be some sort of scam.

well, did you send monies for that amount on that date and it was not received?

I got the letter and trashed it. I know everywhere I sent money got picked up because I received all my products. I think it's a set up to bust you for sending money to someone they busted.

I dont have WU records from 2013...its possible...but i've never sent funds for parts and not had the billing office not pick up the funds.

I would do like jj, and trash it, I'm sure you would have taken care of it back then if it was not received

It happens sometimes. Its very likely that it never was picked up and got missed by the parts seller.
I think its more suspicious to NOT go get it. Who leaves 300 bucks behind

Agreed! I received the same letter and just ignored it. If it seems too good to be true...

I will say it could be legit I received one before after cancelling a transaction and picking the funds back up. I just discarded it and about a year after that I had a family member tell me my name was on a state website for unclaimed funds. I had to send them a copy of id and they kept $1 for processing and the funds showed were from WU so I think they lose track of information at times

So many issues with WU lately. I hope eventually a better way to pay sponsors pops up.

Man, my last transaction was done by cash in mail. Sure, there's a little extra lag time before the goodies got shipped, and you need to trust the sponsor. But I didn't have to worry about WU and the potential headaches involved.

I didn't get a letter but the sponsor told me he couldn't pick the money up, and I had to provide a drivers L. I did and it went through

BITCOIN.
I know a few sponsors are using that method and more and more that seems to be the new way to go.
I haven't used BITCOIN yet but have been reading up on it.

You can't get in trouble for sending money. I received a letter and picked up the cash. The receiver simply didn't ever pick it up.
