XBOX360 or PS3

My wife busts my balls for playing vid games, have not played for about 6 months but gonna get one of the new systems. Was gonna get the PS3 but will it ever become as popular as the XBOX360 is and get as many games as the 360? Wanna get your opinions, my friend says 360 cause it has all the games but isn't the PS3 the better system and shouldn't it become a popular system with more games coming as more systems get into circulation. Peace, all b well.

I am holding out for HALO 3 the BETA is sweet and the game comes out SEPT 25th.

which eever one you buy, go to best buy when you do and get the extended warranty. MOst of my friends are on the second or third...even 4th system

Keep it in a well spaced area and on hot summer days, keep a fan on it.

get the 360. all the game magizines will tell you this. more games and way better online platform. you can already dowload HD tv shows, movies and videos. from what i have heard ps3 is way behind in its online capabilities therefore alot of game makers are leaning towards 360 exclusives.

i saw a programe on t.v and they showed same game sonic i think, from xbox and ps3 and both resulted same things.

Both are 100% same, so i suggest the one which is cheaper and more popular

ps3 sucks at that price...its only a little better than its predecessor and theres like 5 good games you can buy for it anyway...

a ps2 costs like 150$ in my country new and you can get games for like 2-3$...

my advice to anybody is to wait until more games come out and the price of the console comes down to under 300$...alex

I say the PS3. I have one and it is a really good system. It's online play is still a work on progress but it can handle 40 people rooms where as the 360 can handle 8. Also the PS3 online play is free and you pay for it on the 360.

The PS3 may cost more but it does come with built in WiFi, a blu-ray player, card reader and it is also bluetooth compatible so you can use your bluetooth headset for you phone with your PS3. Sure the 360 cost less but it is basically a computer and would you pay the same price for a computer today that you would have paid for that computer a year ago? I don't think so. It is older technology.

As for games the 360 wins now but it has been out for over a year so of course it has more games. Software companies have learned how to write games for the system so the games even look a little better at the moment. But just wait until the software companies learn to write games for the PS3. Then you will see what the system can do. Right now most of the games for the PS3 are just converted games. They weren't written specifically for the PS3 the code was just adjusted to work on the PS3.

This is just a guess but if you can wait a little bit I think they might drop the price of the PS3 soon to $499. Sony says they're not going to but they're not going to leak that kind of information as it would cannibalize current sales if they did.

Whatever your choice they are both good systems and you will have fun with either one.

It's a little better then the PS2? I guess you might think that if you're playing both of them on a 27 inch CRT television. Hook them both up to a 42 inch or bigger HDTV and you won't think that one anymore.

Go for the PS3, its the more powerful machine, and by the time you upgrade (read buy extra bits) it to the same capabilities you've spent pretty much the same anyways.

I bought Future a 360 for his birthday. I bought it April 8th and the damn thing freezes up on a regular basis. It also overheats with PLENTY of space for air to circulate around it. We bought the fan attachment and it STILL overheats. AAAANNNNDDDDDD.......the console has also damaged a game.

Future's talked to someone who has fixed 360's and was informed that they are very touchy. Had we known this we would have gone for the other game!

I got mine off amazon.co.uk from the first lot they got in, which sold out in 7 minutes, so got lucky there

You can get them over here with a little bit of searching at the moment.
