The idiot news reporters who try to over dramatize what is taking place along the Gulf. The hurricane is dramatic enough with out the theatrical nature of some of the stories. I cracked up when Herlado Rivera "fell down" last night. I was thinking, "well duh, dumbass"....

I switch back and forth from CNN to FOXNEWS and it's equally bad on both stations.

Gas prices jumping like they are. They want us to pay in advance for what might happen. Jumping $2.00 per gallon in some areas is uncalled for!!!

I have often thought of starting INC, the Internet News Channel. I would shoot stock footage for all 365 days and use it year afer year with only two minutes of actual new coverage on days when necessary. (Not often)

Sample Stories:

Big Car Wreck.
Politician suspected of corruption.
Don't forget to turn your clocks back.
Story of reporters at airport on travel day b4 major holidays.
Story with pictures of crowded lake and beach for summer holidays.
Pictures of cars sliding off road for Northern snow.
Pictures of pekkerwoods stripping stores of milk and bread for Southern Snow.
Story on celebrities and do-gooders feeding the homeless one day a year. Usually Thanksgiving.
Story of Athlete getting suspended for DUI/Drugs/Domestic ViolenceS
Story of boneheads standing in middle of a hurricane with an umbrella for protection.

etc.

Have an algorithm that mixes and matches the stories and replays them each day. The upfront cost would be high but you could license the generic stories to a lot of smaller market news channels as well as running them on the net.

The media sucks ass these days...
over analyzied and over hyped...

yes a hurricane is a HUGE deal, and lives can be lost. BUt for the love of God, it is NOT the SUPER BOWL (now I have to pay my copy right fee for using SB).

SPorts these days drive me nuts...Monday night football starts on Saturday with a team sitting down and counting how many grains of grass are on the field and how that will affect the running backs cutting ability.
