Your favorite back exercise ..

TBARS

I dont mean the machine. I mean stick a barbell in the corner, grab a close grip handle and cradle the bar and load up the other end. Use 25's they allow for a much better range of motion than the 45s. Keep your back arched and your shoulders back and pull to your upper abs. This allows for a complete contraction of the back. When all muscles of the back are being contracted you will feel a BIG difference, as it is a much stronger contraction.

you able to fit enough 25s on there? The heaviest I get on these for about 12 reps is 5 45s. Maybe I should give the 25s a try...I know T Freeman advocates this...

haha ya same here, i spent years training my back without ever really feeling it work! oh well, better late then never!
 
My all time favorite for feel is DC rack chins....With plates on upper thighs....
 
seated one arm cabel rows,

sit on a seated cable row machine, male sure to wrap up with one hand and on the close grip.. just like a reg dumbell row, but seated, make sure to emphasize the stretch and when pulling back bring the elbow back as far as possible and twist at the waist for a max contraction...

training back is all about the elbows, you need to think of you hand as being attached to the bar, and simply look at where you elbow is moving... pull with your elbow not your hand and your back will grow....this is so simple but most never think about it because they are trying to move the bar and not their elbows...

the same rule applies with delts, while doing side, front or rear raises, the elbow must lead, not the hand... try it and you'll know what im talking about....

I really like those 1 arm cable rows too.... gives a nice long pull and range of motion
 
Snatch grip deadlifts. Taxes the hell out of your traps, erectors, rhomboids, etc. If retract hard enough, youll feel it in your lats as you lock out. For general lats, rows and pullups are where its at. Use straps on the snatch grip DLs if you do them because your grip will be the first thing to go.

Rack pulls are awesome for developing the back too.
