What ways do you prefer to do your cardio for fat loss?

Some say running because you burn more cals.
some say keeping your heart rate in the fat burning zone so you don't lose muscle
Some like HIIT.
Some say first thing on a empty stomach and others only do it after weight training because there glycogen stores are depleted.

I just want to see what others are doing.

Mostly post workout as I'm in the zone and find it easy. Occasuonly am fasted.

Fasted morning cardio for me works best.....I like HIIT
 
Hit on the steps post workout for the least amount of time as possible
 
steady state 30mins post-workout.

1. fast walk on treadmill, with incline at highest point

or

2. stairmaster on level 5-6

i dont compete, but for a joe lifter i would rate myself in the top 5% of those within the 20-40 age bracket...
 
I fix cars for 9 hours a day. That's all the cardio I care to do :p
 
I never had the patience to walk incline for a long period of time....its been a while since I've done cardio but I prefer jogging down the street moderate HR with bursts of sprints occasionally.......that's just what I prefer to do.

What kind of time and intervals do you do when you do HIIT?

I was doing 2 minutes high 1 minutes low for about 25 - 30 minutes.

Seemed like my legs put some size on this way and got stronger.
 
45 minutes steady state in the morning,fasted. Either elliptical or walking uphill on treadmill.
 
short intervals, high intensity, first thing in the morning. It jacks me up for hours after.
Usually 20 minutes start wit 2 minutes of medium intensity to warm up then raise intensity by the minute, back it up a few times throughout and then finish all out in last 2 minutes.
You build good leg muscles and helps muscle density all throughout.

Need to lose extra fat...

HIIT in the AM (although it is effective any time whether fasted or not) but I also rotate cardio and will use both HIIT and LISS. I start my HIIT doing 60 sec slow and 30 sec sprint and over time go to 45/45 split and eventually, if needed go to a 30 sec slow and 60 sec sprint

LISS for me is walking on the treadmill for and hour on an incline. Sometime I switch that up and do the step mill on a lower intensity and let my heels hang off and press off with my calves.

But ive recently started doing the treadmill at a faster pace and on a SREAL steep incline
 
I have been trying fasted AM cardio for about 40min walking on incline treadmill. I'm a newb though and it's too early to tell.
 
HIIT after weights....


I LOVE heavy medicine ball slams......sets of 30 reps...recover for 45 seconds

I like the sounds of this. This way you get a little bit of everything.

Thinking of keeping my heart rate in the fat burning zone for the first 20 minutes then do 20-25 minutes of HIIT on a empty stomach in the AM 3x's a week.

Probably mix it up and do some cross training through out the week with different pieces of equipment to keep the body guessing.
 
Cardio? is that Spanish?


But really, like some others have said, stair master/step mill...and after my workout
