Zantac for daily heartburn from Cialis

Hello everyone,

I'm 29 years old and on TRT and I have been taking Cialis at about 5-10mg/day for over a year now, and have had heartburn to the point where some days I take 150mg twice/day (although lately just once per day). Is this safe? Would you recommend I switch to a different otc med for daily heartburn?

Zantac should not be used for more than 14 days. All you are doing is masking your symptoms you need to find what is causing the heartburn and eliminate that.

Why are you taking daily cialis? Do you you have BPH at 29 years old?

ya iagree. Zantac is just a bandaid and taking acid blockers can cause a whole host of others issues. Is Cialis really worth it?

Cut ur cialis dosage in half. Don't use it for workout purposes.
Even 10 should keep your dick good for 3 days. Keep tums with you always.

Avoid the antacids, they only mask the issue and can end up making it worse.


You don't need to take cialis everyday, I'm sure if you cut the dose down and limited it to 3 times a week then your heartburn would go away.


Do you supplement with glutamine by chance? It may help as well as apple cider vinegar.

Cialis can cause decreased tone of the LES in the distal esophagus causing GERD symptoms. Zantac is a h2 receptor antagonist, you would be better off with a ppi.. nexium or the like.

Ranitidine is safe at that dose and can be taken for more then 14 days.. 4-12 weeks is not uncommon for treatment of ulcers.

OP.. you should try reducing your cialis dose. It sounds like your taking too much.. otc remedies can help to maintain symptoms after the course of ppi is complete.. baking soda. Apple cider vinegar.. probiotics..

I keep some sodium bicarbonate tabs on hand when I'm at work or out and don't have baking soda on hand. Helps a ton too.

Gosh I'm such an idiot. I had no idea cialis caused belching and I've been wondering why for the longest time I can't stop burping. Maybe I'll stick to cialis only when I need it.

Glad i know this. I do want to try it though. I spoke to you about it and then i waited as geno was going to get it but it hasn't hit his shop yet.

other then bleaching do you feel any other symptom like feeling bloated etc which could be due to cialis ?

It would be remarkable if after all this time, cialis was the culprit. I have a bad case of belching too. I thought it was metformin but it wasn't. I hope cialis turns out to be the culprit because I really need to find out.
