ZONEALARM.....need updates?

ZoneAlarm is a free Firewall utility.

I have been using ZONE ALARM for a number of years now with no problems. It works great and definitly keeps ppl out of my computer (I have had FBI friends try it and even they couldnt get past it) So its definitely something to have at all times


Well, now my Zone Alarm is asking me to get an important update.

I like to keep all my programs updated but at the same time I know some of these updates actually make programs work worse (or have glitches) and once you download an update you cannot change it back.

So, does anyone know which version (or update #) is ok to update my ZoneAlarm?

I used to get magazines such as PCWorld, or the other Computer mag and they would always tell you which updates passed their rigorous tests and which ones you should stay away from. Unfortunatly my subscription ran down and I havent gotten one in a year or 2.

I'm running 6.5.737.000 on one of my machines. I'm not sure if that is helpful to you, but I believe it is the newest version.

The link posted above is for the AVG Anti-Virus freeware. Another EXCELLENT product which nobody should be without.

You just can't beat "FREE"


ZoneAlarm is found on www.zonelabs.com.

Go down half the page on the left (below the goofy cartoon character) where it says QUICK LINKS. The 4th link down is the free ZoneAlarm link.



I am using version 6.5.731.000 and it uses 945KB of space.

Anyone else know for sure if its ok to get the newest update?

Yeah, my bad. I use both AVG and ZoneAlarm and just grabbed the wrong one. The actual link for the free version of ZoneAlarm is:
