The pilot study is laid out pretty vaguely and I can't find any links to it outside of that website. Probiotics are probably very important but I get the feeling from the article that it wasn't a completely unbiased study. I could be way off though. I wish we could determine who funded the study to see if there's a conflict of interest (probiotics manufacturers funding it possibly). I definitely feel better when I take probiotics than when I dont, especially my skin.

Agreed. Definitely not one of the better studies, and was probably funded by a probiotic company. However by combining the two there was improvement. Which makes sense when considering the enhanced intestinal environment that probiotics creates!

Big believer in Probiotics, and Prebiotics myself. Been using different brands for many years.

Yeah, I definitely don't doubt that probiotics play a huge role in body composition, which suggests they affect overall performance. There's a lot of new research being done into that. Specifically, the fact that quite often the intestinal bacterial cultures of an obese person are dramatically different than those of fit people. I've never been able to settle on a brand I like and typically just buy whatever is on sale but I eat a lot of prebiotic foods so I think I'm doing alright lol
