Hey brother hope im not too late on this one, If you are inclined to take it even with you work schedule then ill definately give you advice to keep you safe and keep insulin still effective. First i would 110% recommend novolog or humulog, IF you cant get your hands on it for whatever reason and you are going to take humulin-r, then this is what I have done in the past, before bed. Humulin can peak at 2 hours and even later so taking it post workout would seem a little late for it to work effectively(or at its best). take the humulin an hour before your workout at 6, assuming your workouts are about 45-1hour long. Make sure you have some good complex carbs when you take it incase its initial or peak action kicks in quickly, that way youll be safe. Keep a gatorade handy during the workout, although i believe you will not need it, and take your usualy shake consisting of quick carbs and aminos etc PWO. That way the insulin will peak around 30 mins after the workout give or take. and will be out of your system by bedtime. And at 7iu i dont believe you need to worry as long as youve had a few carbs. Thats a very low dose i believe your body can produce close to that dosagewith enough simple sugars. After that eat your meal with some complex carbs and youll be good to go. I have taking 5iu with no carbs 3x per day to get into keto and just felt a little tired. So your dose is very safe. GL and PM with any questions. Hope this helped
