Gym is ruining my marriage help.

I am amatuer body builder of course, that's why I'm on this website. I'm 24 and a US Marine. When my job doesnt take all my time the gym takes a little of it. I only work out an hour and half at night I do my first session before work in the morning.. anyways... I have tried to get my wife to go to the gym with me so we can have more time together but she absolutely hates it. She is big in to dieting but hates working out. Every day I come home she gets an attitude cause I'm going to the gym. But when I'm at home on days off she sleeps all day I'm losing my mind I can't choose one or the other. I'm not ok with not working out at night I need the day to get my energy established I'm too exhausted in the morning. Give me some perspective I think I need a way to get her turned on to figure comp she has the determination she would do great. Lmk!!!

Thats alot of training. Might be worth trying to limit your training to 45 minutes to an hour.
Have you tried to do something that your Mrs likes to do on your days off? I dont know your situation but maybe if you show interest in your Mrs hobbies she may return the favour.

Most of our women put up with alot due to this sport and they should be rewarded for putting up with the comittment that we show towards this sport.

Never put anything ahead of your wife. I did and eventually lost her. Biggest regret of my life.
 
I divorced my wife when I was in , she was crazy and I was a young jarhead ..
 
Not going to tell you what to do but I can tell you that your passion will never become her passion.

An hour and a half is ridiculous.

How about you do 45 minutes in the morning and 45 minutes at night and spend more time with your wife, and if she is sleeping...

Take your ass a shower and go sleep in bed with her...you might get some good pussy out of it.

Why does she sleep all day?
 
Check out a book called "the five love languages". You need to find a way to let your wife know that you love her , and she needs to do the same. Once you do that, the activities you enjoy can be enjoyed by both. Relationships aren't easy and they take work from both parties.
 
You have to decide what's more important, the woman u married or the gym. It seems like an easy choice, but it's not. But it seems in the long run neither one of u will be happy because u both have to give something up. If she's important enough to you u will make the right choice. It happened to me and I didn't even see it coming. And I think about it a 1000 times a day, if I could change it I would, but I can't. But u still can.

Dude you got married too young number one and was she unaware you were into the gym when you were dating? If it's not working at 24 it won't be working at 34.

I personally go in morning before work at 5 when everyone[wife and kids] are in bed.They never know I'm gone.Work out 45-60 min Mon-Fri.
 
How long before you resent her? Some things you do together and other you just don't do ... Not blasting on you just speaking from experience

If you train hit you could get good results from 3 or 4 45 minute sessions. Dorian Yates preaches this. Win win. If she can't live with that divorce her or spend your whole marriage resenting her. The choice is yours.

the 1.5 hrs of gym time is not the cause of your marriage's demise.
how many hours a week do you work?
 
Did you train before you were married? If so she should understand this is who you are and not try to change you..my wife was kinda the same way when we got married but over time she understood. Explain to her that you could be at a bar all night but your not. You're at a gym!
 
I have a lot of experience with the military and marriage. Getting married young while being active duty is a mistake a lot of guys make. There are some success stories but the divorce rate is very high. A lot of young people are ill-equipped to deal with the military and the stresses it brings. Marriage is the toughest job you'll ever have. Keep working.

I do this as well and it works out perfect. Wake up and at gym by 5am and out by 630. Dressed and ready for work.
 
You say she likes to lay around on the weekends well how about moving a few of your workouts to the weekend that way you free up 2 nights during the week?
 
Young Man you are obsessed, the gym is not your life and you better find a balance or you will live not a happy life. I did the same as you but I learned to incorporate the gym around my life and not my life around the gym.
