I was wondering what are some body building friendly jobs out there that can support the habit lmk what you guys do for a living looking for something new ?

I own a property management company. Between meeting with clients and contractors I have lots of time to eat and hit the gym.

I'm a Sr. Credit Analyst. I sit at my desk at my computer, I eat all day, not a physical job at all so I am fresh for my evening workout. It pays very well and I'm salary so i come and go as I want or work from home when no meetings. Go to college, make being sucessful a priority and bodybuilding your hobby.

Im an commercial electrician so im pretty active during the day. Take 2 15min breaks and 30min lunch to eat meals. Boss is very understanding of my lifestyle so i can usualy eat whenever i want.

College isn't always the answer, especially right now. One should still go but also have back up plans like civil service lists etc.

Im a car salesman for CarMax. Not the best job in the world made around 55k in 2013 and Its easy to eat on the job.

Agreed, I guess I should say you should have a plan other than bodybuilding

I'm a director of sales and marketing. Salary so I get to eat whenever since I have a mini fridge and microwave and make my own schedule. Good pay and very easy. Occasionally can be long hours but I still manage to get food in and the gym.

20 years ago i wanted to start a gym so i could train and recuperate better i always have had to do physical labor.
I started my gym and guess what i have to scrape and claw to get all my workouts .:banghead:

am i the only one thinking his priorities are a little off basing his job around his bodybuilding and not the other way around?

Seems like fun.

Active jobs will keep you lean and healthy'
Sedatery jobs will make you large and not.
(Unless you hit the treadmill for countless hrs of your freetime)
Plus I get A free Tan..lol

I am a bit of a geek and spent a lot of years studying computer networking telephony which has actually landed me a job that covers everything so well. I look after UK/ European companies networking / telephony implementations, the good thing with technology is that I am completely based from home. It is a godsend, i get to wake up naturally , not when my alarm goes off, i don't have to travel anywhere, I get to spend so much more time with my partner and I also get to eat and train when i want. I sacrficed a lot of my social life from 18-23 studying excessively while all my friend where out partying and i have absolutely no regrets, i am able to help my family with money, i have a nice roof over my head a good car and can afford to live very comfortably.

It is weird because I competed when i was younger in bodybuilding competitions and i can tell you that the dedication i learned from isolating yourself and purely focusing on a single goal tenaciously helped dramatically with my career. Studying for 5-6 hours a day felt nothing in comparison to dieting on low carbs with double sessions of cardio.

That is why i really believe it is good to get youths involved in some sport early on or something that will teach them that in order to obtain something to the best of your potential you need to make an extraordinary effort. Most people in my generation I meet today have absolutely no substance, no self belief, no motivation to chase any sort of goal, and i think it i sad as we only inhabit this earth once so why live a life just drifting through with no certain purpose.

I work offshore, but not for a rig, but for a service company. Average for me on a 2 week trip is I work 2x12 hour shifts, the rest of the time I sit/lay in a chair/sofa and waiting for work. So that gives me all the time I want to eat and train, food is free, 4 hot meals a day and cold meats etc all day long.

Food is not always perfect for BB and I can not weigh it out. But do my best to count my macros and actually I get better results offshore than I do when I´m at home, because there is no social events and distractions when I´m offshore.

And the best part is the wage witch was around 100k my first year as a trainee, getting better this year :headbang: And when you are home you are free, the sector I work in has a limit of 188days a year, so that´s around 6 month of work.

I put myself through college being a personal trainer to upper end clients. I got my in by working out in an up scale gym/facility. When you are in good shape and in the gym at least 4-5 days a week, I would constantly get bombarded by members asking how to properly do an exercise or ask what my diet was like. It got so bad I was spending too much time helping others and not getting paid for it. Too make a long story short, people in the gym are always looking for good guidance and I went to UCLA and the area is a upscale area so I decided to get my personal training certificate and before long I had 20-30 clients at 150-250/hr. I was able to make a good living and I was always in the gym for one reason or another and it ended up working out great for me, as it did help out my financial needs for aas and I ended up with many good connections for jobs after I graduated.

I have worked on ships offshore for months at a time in my 20's( military before that)...Then got out and worked on tugs and a couple casino ships. Then I got into the Hotel Industry living in Honolulu. Now, back starting college here in a couple weeks to get certified as a personal trainer and fitness nutrition specialist.

I would love to work in a GYM and help others achieve their goals. I am currently training at a family owned gym, not a franchise like 24 hr, LA Fitness, etc. Although, I heard LA Fitness has great Gyms and are nice in some parts of the usa. This gym I am at now is pretty nice for the price and it's all hammer strengths, bb and dbs. Incline, decline, flat bench, cables, power racks, and plenty of weight.

Treadmills and plenty off leg equipment as well thank god

But how do you manage to find stamina to hit the gym after 10 hours of heavy labor under the sun?

I work with computers during the week and in the weekend
I do bouncing to finance my hghhabit

I can eat whenever I want. I have a kitching at work with microwave etc Perfect
