Any recommendations on coaches who typically lean towards lower volume higher frequency training?

I know Jordan Peters and Scott Stevenson do but, any other suggestions? I've been following Fortitude for a couple years and have grown like a weed which is what's influenced my decision.

It may not be the "correct" thing to do, but I typically follow my own training when I would use a coach. I figure it's taken me years to find the correct balance of exercises, splits, frequency etc. that I can recover from and progress on. So I typically let the coach monitor my diet more than anything else.

My thinking was a coach who had more of a lower volume mind set could help with what I might be missing on my sessions as well as diet.

Really I've done pretty well on my own so I might just save the cash until I really plateu.

Jordan Peters has my vote, although I believe he is taking a break from new clients. He might still be building training programs though.. money well spent.

Are you looking for a TRAINING coach? Im kinda confused.

Most coaches I know dont really mess with peoples training plans, they only mess with the diet and drug protocol.

I was just listening to Iron Muscle Radio with Dave and Chris and both were literally going on about how training makes no difference to them with clients. Its strictly diet. They might tell someone to take a rest day or something to that effect but most coaches will mess with diet only dude. Just my 2 cents.
 
I don't understand why more guys don't just do the own training plans. Especially the ones who have used multiple coaches before or have bought various comprehensive training plans online. You should know what works for you. You should know your body better than anyone. You could follow a certain template and make adjushments that suit you.

If you want lower volume and high frequency draw up your own plan to suit your own body, schedule and goals. Obviously training is super important you don't want to be training too much or like a pussy but as the above alluded to get your diet zoned in and everything else will fall into place.

Now a beginner who knows nothing about training or their bodies would benefit greatly from a set plan. Although for me training execution, intensity and volume are much more important that any particular sequence of exercises. Listen to your body and make adjushments.

I know some guys like to pay for plans though and feel like if they follow something to a tee they get better results so everyone is different. I know some put more effort in when they pay for a training plan which is bizarre to me.

Now hiring a coach to do everything is different as they can assist you in all areas and monitor and make intelligent adjustments. Many will disagree but for me paying a coach a tonne of money for a training plan is bizarre but everyone is different. There are amazing training plans all over this forum. Execution, intensity and overall volume are most important.

Dusty also comes across like he cares alot about his clients and that to me is important. Many coaches have so many clients they are almost just another number. I would think someone is in great hands with Dusty for a variety of reasons. Matt Porter is very popular and another name I would recommend. Although this is for everything and my post still applies regarding training.

In today's age you can see hundreds of great bodybuilders training everyday on social media. There are tonnes of useful training pages as well showing basic and advanced training techniques. The basics executed perfectly will always be the best. Too many these days just overcomplicate this stuff to be different.

Maybe others disagree but just think drawing up a training plan is the most basic thing and can be done effectively very quickly if you know your own body and goals.

It's just like what I always have said about all the diet programs like Jenny Craig.........people saying I always tried and failed on my own.......this program works. No you worked the program because you stuck with it since you were paying for it. I'm sure it's the same with training programs.

I'm not looking for someone to draw me up a training plan. I follow Fortitude Training and it works very well. I've added around 30lbs of lean tissue in the last two years or so. So no, I don't need that. I probably don't even really need a coach given the progress I've made and have been told as much from a few good ones.

My point in a lower volume coach overseeing what I'm doing is to have them to be able to pick up on anything that I'm missing in training or make suggestions and so on. As well as nutrition and different strategies they might use that I haven't.
 
Also, it doesn't REALLY matter what my reasoning was lol. Just looking for suggestions

Sorry I was just trying to save you money. If you are after a coach that is different. It's a valid question because there aren't really that many lower volume coaches. Even the ones mentioned in this thread are not what I would call lower volume higher frequency. I hope you find what you are looking for and sorry I couldn't be any help. I have seen your progress and you have done great so I would definitely agree with you. Although hopefully you can find someone who helps you out.
