Simple, fast, and will break up the monotony of the usual stuff.

I made it in home economics class twenty years ago. Almost exactly this same recipe except that we did NOT use the Worcestershire sauce.

My mother used to make this when we were kids. Don't know if it's the same recipe but it was good. Gonna try this one. Easy to make!

Yeah, very easy. I wouldn't make it a staple of my diet, but just once in a while for some different flavor.

I don't keep soda in the house.

I wonder how it would taste with Coke Zero and reduced sugar ketcup!

I wonder how it would taste with Coke Zero and reduced sugar ketcup!

I've been reducing my soda intake over the last year with the intent of giving it up completely.

Last week was that week. So I don't have any in the house.

If I'm out and see some Zero, I'll pick some up and try it and let you know.

I don't know if my market will have your fancy ketchup. I live in the mountains.

It might happen this weekend.

I just got the ingredients. I'll make it tomorrow.

I may use whole chicken parts instead of breasts. I do have breasts, just not sure it's enough.

I'll post some pictures and a review when it's done.

I'll be using Coke Zero as someone was wondering about it.

As promised:

It was good, not as good as I remembered 20 years ago. I don't like the taste of ketchup anymore. I haven't used ketchup on my food in about 10 years.

It was moist and the flavor was different than the usual stuff we make. Which was nice.

I'd say it's worth a shot if you're tired of the norm.

Prep time was less than 5 minutes. 45 minutes in the oven at 350 covered with aluminum foil.

Try regular Coke. The Zero tasted different. Maybe the sugar caramelizes or something.

So the organic hormone free, free range chicken that is in my budget is bone-in with skin on. I removed the skin and did the recipe. I lowered the temperature to 325 and cooked it for an hour instead of 45 minutes to compensate for the bones and larger pieces of meat. Cooked thoroughly. Came out the same, just half the price.

I couldn't get this to post earlier.

The pieces of chicken were quite large, and bone in. Cooked just fine.

Alright so I tried it tonight. Was pretty good. But I'll be honest it seemed like cooking chicken in a watery BBQ sauce. The benefit though is the whole chicken breasts sit into the juice and are completely submerged so they take the flavor on in a decent way rather then just having a sauce cook on top of them.

Really intrigued and can't say I've had anything like this. Going to have to give it a try.

Never heard of this but will try ASAP.
Love them both just never combined them into one.

In addition, the acidity in coca cola makes it perfect as a marinade for very lean or tougher parts n of an animal. I marinade most of my Venison Steaks this way and it makes even the toughest meat very tender.
