Question about Phosphatidylserine (PS)

Just read about how this can control cortisol levels. Is this an over the counter supplement? If so what trade name do I look for?

yes, it is over the counter. I use Doctors Best right now.

Phosphatidylserine - Vitacost

This is where I get mine from. Most are complex but look for straight Phosphatidylserine in the ingredients. Most of the time it is 100mg per softgel

Same here. Havent used it in a while but it makes a noticeable difference in cortisol (noticeable through reduced anxiety and better sleep)

I take a 1000 mg daily. I was even thinking today at work how good my recall was of previous events and names I haven't mentioned or heard in years.

I kind of started taking it a few times a day than was taking 1000 mg. After the layoff, I just take it either all at once or twice during the day. Either when I wake up or before going to bed. I've read where some claim they had trouble falling asleep, but that's never been an issue with me.

I really hammered out shoulders with a buddy at the gym and couldn't believe how I didn't even feel that sore. Maybe it's in my head, but I'll take any placebo affect.

Its something that has always had my interest but not enough real world situations proving its effect at the time on top of it being very expensive at the time. I'm going to have to give PS another look. Anything that can help control cortisol levels I'm interested in.

Guess it’s only expensive when it’s tacked onto the million other things haha

As Crunchy mentioned, PS isn't that expensive especially when purchased off Amazon
