I'm doing a log for Monster Labs. They were looking for testers so I PMed some people and did some reading, they seemed like a solid company, so I decided to give them a try.

I'm in my early 40s and haven't competed in 4 years. I'm starting this log in the middle of a bit of a comeback, probably to competition. Back when I was competing, my highest lean offseason weight was 250lbs, my highest competition weight is 225lbs. I have been 170lbs in my early 20s, 250lbs in my late 20s, 170lbs in my mid 30s, and 250lbs again my late 30s.

In the last couple years I have been running TRT doses (140mg/week) and haven't been lifting heavy due to nagging injuries. I got down a bit under 200lbs.

About 6 months ago I started running 200mg/week and lifting a little heavier, I then bumped this up to 300mg after a couple months, and then up to 400mg for another month.

As of 6 weeks ago I started what I consider a heavy cycle for me at my age: 450mg test/350mg eq/50mg drol. (6mg aromasin and 10mg nolvadex daily- loving this protocol).

MONSTER LABS

As of yesterday I am starting my monster cycle, which will be basically a continuation of my previous cycle with the eq switched out for deca. I'm excited to run Deca for the first time in over a decade- see what I did there? :rolleyes:

500mg Monster Labs test cyp
400mg Monster Labs deca
After taking about 6 weeks off from the drol I will add it back in at 50mg/day for the last 6 weeks (also Monster Labs).
5mg Monster Labs cialis pwo (just doing the cialis for the pumps, the prostate benefits, the lower blood pressure, and the boners :eek: )
6mg aromasin/day (pharm)
10mg nolvadex/day (pharm)

I'm about 220lbs and unusually lean for me at this point.

I will be doing bloodwork for monster on the test levels when I hit peak cyp levels, but I will also be doing overall bloodwork for health reasons, both will be posted here.

I train Menzer/Yates style of high intensity training. When I am training for maximum mass (as I am now) I pretty much do Dorian's HIT routine exactly, as I have for the last 20 years.

I do 30min of cardio every morning (not fasted), heart rate is 120-130.

My diet is generally 2 red meat meals per day, 2 protein powder meals per day, one something else meal per day. Lots of carbs. 30% protein/40% carbs/30% fat is what I go for but I just eyeball it and I don't don't always think about it. I am just trying to pack food away constantly for the most part. Pizza and polish dog at costco 1-2 times per week, all you can eat sushi now and then, multiple jumbo jacks 1-2 times per week, etc. Oh and donuts, lots and lots of donuts. This should be called my donut diet. I'm still staying overly lean but I'm not giving up. :D

6mg aromasin/10mg nolva is awesome for lowering E2 and blocking the gyno aggravating tendencies of a50. The small amount of gyno I have has been shrinking throughout the cycle.

Great stuff. I love to train like that. Just with a torn Pec n 2 slipped discs makes it almost impossible. Altho I do my best.

Any chance of logging some workouts ?

You are an invaluable asset to this board and I want to personally thank you for the positive impact you have had on me changing my dietary habits and paying more attention to other health concerns. Great to see this up here bud!! You're gonna love the gear. I'll definitely follow this with interest. That's a very conservative cycle. Is this pretty typical of what you run...or do you ramp up doses as you get closer to a show?

I have ramped everything up to around 2g total precontest before, I don't think it's necessary and will try to be leaner and 95% as big on half that, which I think is very possible. At non-national level NPC shows, 5-10lbs of muscle isn't going to make very much of a difference, structure and condition are going to decide a lot more.

Very true...and interesting perspective. Are you gonna be posting any before and after pictures?

So a bit of an update.

The test cyp I'm running is legit, in the last few weeks I've been switching from pharm grade to monster (and increasing the dose) and results are just as I'd expect from that dose. Even with a "long-acting" ester like cyp I notice changes in dosage pretty quickly.

5mg Cialis preworkout is working great, combined with Yeah Buddy of course.

MonsterLabs has some NPP on the way to me which I will be using instead of deca. Abombs will be added in at some point, probably in about a month or two.

Still growing pretty fast ;)

I've always like NPP 400-600mgs wk...Glad you're logging the npp know monster us a good source...

Keep up the work Kaladryn never ran Npp after reading this I might use it next year

In the past, you've posted comments about how people would be surprised at how much control they ultimately have over their metabolism. I (and I suspect, others) would be interested to hear how you have increased your metabolism over time, allowing some of the diet flexibility (i.e., donuts) you are able to enjoy while remaining lean.
