Thanks guys!
For some reason these pics make my chest look like a 13 year little old girls...
It actually is pretty decent and has a nice little hang going on now. Side note, today was a huge pr for me! Well its been 2 weeks since trying heavy deads so I was feeling good this morning. Put the heavy metal on and get ready.... Trap Bar Full Range Deadlifts, feet shoulder width apart 405 x 8 reps (about 45 seconds rest before set 2) 365 x 8 reps (about 1min 30 sec rest before set 3) 315 x 10 reps That's my first time ever even attempting 4 plates and I got 8 reps. BTW, bodyweight is somewhere between 185-190lbs. Last I weighted myself was almost 3 weeks ago and I am visually leaner now than I was then (weighted 187 then)... Obviously not impressive to the big boys here deadlifting in the 600+ but it sure made my day! In about 2 weeks or so when I feel like doing some real deadlifts again I think I will try 455, or maybe more if the warmup feels light like today ![]() BTW (5-13-2011) 2 weeks ago I had did 365 for 10 so this was a pretty big jump for me. I use the trap bar because it feels safer on my back. Having had back surgery for herniated l4/l5 disk in May 2009, I want to hold off on a 2nd for as long as I can... 2010 vs 2011
May 29 2010 (Left) May 24 2011 (Right)
And conventional wisdom says its impossible to lose fat AND gain muscle at the same time. Hey buddy, I did it for a year straight and the picture doesn't lie! Watch out 2012 is going to blow this 2011 away! |

If you really want all the details...
Talk to the master magician Phil Hernon...
I just do what the man says, then he takes his voodoo doll and slaps it with steak. Somehow I wake up with more muscle and leaner.... Last edited by bmcjames; 05-27-2011 at 07:07 AM. |
