At this point I am no longer in pursuit of gaining huge amounts of size as I simply am more interested in staying lean year round now, and would like to stay within striking distance of my stage weight at all times. I know over the years the whole damage to the thyroid thing via t3 use has been dispelled as many people have come off successfully after many many years on t3 and recovered normal thyroid function after their cessation of use in short order.

I was wondering if any of you guys use lower doses of t3 (12.5-25 mcg or so) to stay in a hyperthyroidic state year round in order to stay lean with less effort (not having to do tonns of cardio each week, and being able to eat a bit more food)?

I am strongly considering it, and then just ramping up to my normal 50-75 mcg dose when its time to get in shape for a show. I cruise on about 150 mg test as well between blasts (pre-contest phases) so I don't think lean tissue loss from t3 use will really be an issue either or will it?

My tsh was on the border at 3.5 and then worse at 4.5 over a six month period. Since then I've been on 20mcg t3 and 100mcg t4. Been doing that for about four months now. Haven't had my levels checked but will here soon. Have not noticed much of anything from a bodybuilding perspective. I'm a little leaner but I just came off a three month tren blast where I ate low carb.

A low dose of T3 will help your body metabolize everything faster which can speed up the rate of muscle growth and fat loss, assuming you take in enough protein. 12.5mg is a good off season dose.

No research. Don't need research to figure out staying on DNP year round is more harmful than T3
 
This really would only be beneficial maybe MAYBE for a naturally fat type person, even then you can control fat gain in other ways. I would say not to do this but if your convinced, add some t4 to it also

Yeah, you have to dose it real low to avoid burning through all your nutrients which flattens you out. 12.5mcg
