Anyone ever experienced a time where they lost all mental ability? Literally just a blankness?
I have a prior head injury/TBI. I was driving home somewhat recently when all of a sudden I lost all cognitive ability. I did not who I was or where. Lasted about 30 minutes this time.
Also some other details I am leaving out at this time, but would like to discuss.

Hadn't happened in a while...i would lose time..some times a few minutes some times a while...happened both times while I was driving. I have tbi and PTSD..i was also abusing pain killers at the time...not high when it happened but I was in addiction relapse and recovery stage. I stopped using drugs (4 years ago Oct 3rd) immersed myself in therapy at the VA. I did a lot of work in dialectical behavioral therapy DBT. PTSD groups and cut WAY back on psyche meds. After both of those "losing time" episodes I attempted suicide...once with an intentional drug over dose and the other by hanging. I'm far from perfect but i have learned coping skills that calm me down when I'm anxious. As it was told to me..those episodes were the brains attempt to stop all the flashback and intrusive thoughts..like a self protection mode...once I got my symptoms somewhat controlled it went away
