I making my plan..I will make my third attempt to get fit seriously...

fruit is nature's dessert. Eat it (daily if you want) but not in massive quantities.

yes it has been working awesome..... i prob eat 5-6x a day... only maybe 1 or 2 of those meals isnt fruit or fruit juice for carbs... luv it

I was not eating fruit for a while. I added in some grapefruit, pineapple, kiwi, berries, bananas and papaya and have been feeling much better. A little pineapple with most meal has seemed to help ease digestion.

I do know that once your liver glycogen is topped off the fructose from the fruit has a higher propensity to be stored as fat. So lower fructose fruits and not is mass quantities.

I use fruit as my main carb source , granted I only get 100-200g a day , 2 eight ounce serving of fresh pineapple a day , a cup of blue berries , sometimes some peaches , apples , bananas.
I do eat sweet potatoes for genr one meal a day.
I have not dieted into a show with fruit as my carbs and I doubt I will but im certainly not as watery this way as I was with oats and rice

I've always ate like this. I have tried other sources but I always go back. I feel great . It digests so well, you are hungry for your next meal in no time.

I eat a Paleo diet, so all my carb sources are fruits. I eat a couple bananas, a couple apples everyday. I also eat pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, kiwis.......

I stayed away from fruit for years because of the sugar........dumb idea.

My main carb source comes from fruit, a large variety but pineapple is my fav. I can not stress enough how much healthy and better i felt when i switched my diet up to incorporate more fruits...really was a noticeable difference.

Practically speaking i love how fruit provides so much taste variation as oppose to rice, oats, sweet potato, pasta etc!! Fruits are all so different and makes to keeping to a planned diet that much more manageable, mentally speaking that is.

I feel so much better eating fruit for the little carbs I do eat than something like rice or potatoes. Just so fresh and light, easy to digest and filled with micronutrients and phytonutrients.

My favorite is a big bowl of berries. Cherries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and sometimes pomegrante seeds. That's a bowl full of antioxidants!

Other staples are apples, bananas, grapes, pineapple, kiwi, and sometimes manderin oranges or nectarines.

It's even better if you try to eat seasonally because then you can get it all cheap and organic at the local farmer's market.

I read in my paleo book-it starts with food, that fruit sugar does not replenish muscle glycogen. Only liver glycogen. So post workout it is not ideal. I eat a lot of fruit but post workout it's still sweet potato all the way!

good one

Are there any fruits one should avoid or really limit?

From a bodybuilding perspective, if you are looking to limit fructose, the foods highest in fructose include:
prunes
pears
cherries
peaches
apples
plums
grapes
dates
mango
watermelon

I think the lower the fat in the diet, the more fruit sugar you can take in without ill effect. Fruit or not, sugar increases cholesterol synthesis and sugar with fat is a surefire way to bump triglycerides.

some thougs of cholesterol and health and fructose¿¿¿¿
