Hard Lump From Subq Injection

I decided to blindly purchase some L-carnitine injection solution off the web (not from any sponsors or affiliates of professional muscle), and after injecting a bunch of times, hard lumps have formed at the injection site, and am not sure how to treat them...

It has been around 3 weeks since, and the lumps have not changed, shown any sign of diminishing, nor are they painful. They are knotty and hard to the feel.

I have tried to read up about this situation, but have not came across a solid answer.

Please let me know if anyone has experienced this and how they treated the issue.

They will dissipate, just give it time. Start injecting IM with 29g 1/2inch insulin pins.

Agreed,,,should dissipate soon. I would use a longer pin and inject IM.

Although 3 weeks is a long time. Definitely start doing IM.

Most likely you injected into the dermis instead of into the hypodermis (subq). The lumps will dissipate. You should only worry if the lumps become inflamed and painfull.

Try going with a longer pin. But I strongly advise going IM, it's much much easier. When I did l-carnitine shots I'd either inject into my skin and get a lump or hit my abdominal wall and cringe in pain.
