Got the following from Liftsiron at peak-Muscle, but I'm sure it's been posted at other places like BBdotcom, and CEM if it's still operating.

I couldn't find the cause of death.

Peter "Big Cat" van Mol became the second official member of the Bodybuilding.com community back in 2000 when founder and then-CEO Ryan DeLuca asked him if he wanted to write content for the rapidly growing site. He had an educational background in molecular biology and biochemistry, and wrote numerous articles about bodybuilding, nutrition, and supplementation, as well as his column "Big Cat's Corner."

Before his passing, van Mol was an author, muscle model, editor at Muscle and Sports Science, and quality assurance manager and R&D specialist for Musculi, a Belgian sports supplementation company.

Wow, he's one of the founding members of the online community.

I remember combing through all this steroid profiles, and I learned so much from him.

RIP. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Crazy to hear. Haven't heard that name in a long time. Seems a lot of good people have been dying too young. Supplement company owners, bodybuilders and more.

He’s actually been dead for months now, December 15, 2017. His heart just stopped beating. No specific cause released

37 is very young for cardiopatheic issues. Genetics could of been the issue or obvious use various compounds

I used to read his posts/threads over at CEM (cuttingedgemuscle.com, now offline) forums back in the day. I learnt a ton from him.

Anyone know who else posted on CEM, was it Dan Duchaine?

I remember some amazing scientific debated over at CEM.

One year younger than when I almost died from my heart attack 10 years ago. So many pass away and the online community as a whole doesn't all know. He was well known too, right? I think most of the millions of regular users online could die and nobody really even knows what happened to them.

Salute to a legend, thank you for the path you paved

I think about this also. How many guys silently just disappear from the online community.

Wow.. I remember him from the trulyhuge.com/chat chat room back in 98/99 and 'bolex round that period as well.

So he was with Nandy when he waslike 20-21. I thought he was older.

We go through this debate every couple months.. Most of us are well aware of the issues that can arise from gear abuse.. But we also have to understand that people die.. Period.. We can speculate all day.. But a good example is a buddy of mines brother in law died last night while lifting weights.. He stood up after benching.. His eyes rolled back and collapsed.. No heart beat or breathing.. Never touched gear in his life.. Was a casual lifter..

Some of those who passed recently committed suicide.. Some natural causes.. Some can be linked to gear abuse,, but until any of us have the autopsys in our hand we must understand that sometimes people just die.. It sucks.. We strive to understand it because it reminds us of our mortality.. We want to put a " cause" to it.. But sometimes life just isn't fair.. Plan and simple..

Rip Nandi and now BC. Learned a lot from Nandi at CEM when I was a younger lad.

Have to wonder if it was heart / AAS related.

I loved reading his articles about prohormones/designer steroids. That was in the golden era for those.

Heart failure. I knew the guy, he lived only a couple of miles away from me. I’m not one to talk about health stuff, but I will say this: he started real early and liked experiments.
