I'm digging through mountains of information trying to find links where normal (non diabetic) people and Bodybuilder use metformin for overall health improvements.

Does anyone have any links saved or remember exat post I can use to narrow my search.

Nir was one of the first people who researched the mechanistic pathways of Metformin in the 80s.

Everything from IGF, AMPK, GH, aging, and centenarian physiology
 
If you haven't been over to LEF they have a number of articles showing benifits.
 
Listen/ read to david sinclair. For example on ben greenfield or joe rogan podcast. He is a huge advocate with really good arguments.

Metformin may be beneficial to people with left ventricular hypertrophy! That's huge for people using/abusing A.A.S. :lightbulb:
 
I take 250 morning and night,year around.
 
A good trio is

Metformin, leucine and Cialis. Quite a unique synergistic effects on fatty acid metabolism and insulin sensitivity.
 
What is the optimal dose? I take 500mg in the morning and evening... Thnx

That is a combo I use to great effect as well. There are certain drugs/supplements that most of us take from time to time that have a great effect on simply looking better. That could be through directly improving the way we metabolize fat or various other mechanisms such as increasing insulin sensitivity.

On an aas cycle I think metformin, cialis and synthetine are a great combo for instance. I consume a lot of leucine heavy eaa products so that's covered as well. Now to top it off and I wouldn't call this essentially healthy at all but melanotan 2 is good for the two things you mention. It will obviously make someone more tanned as well which only adds to looking leaner etc. In addition to possible appetite suppression which can assist when dieting. So they are also my picks for things that many wouldn't necessarily think of for improving health and/or looking better.

There's an ongoing clinical trial with an experimental drug called--- NS‐0200, there's two different doses given.

Leucine 1100 mg, Metformin 500mg and 0.5mg or 1mg of Viagra twice per day.

The intent of the drug combo is treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

I had mentioned Cialis as I think it's a little more effective drug. Primarily due to its longer half-life, in this event once a day dosing of Cialis should suffice.
 
my fat loss stack is 500 metformin/berberine and Eca pre cardio/workout, is it a good idea to add 5mg of cialis? What are the benefits to add this in the stack?
 
I still pause at the fact Metformin hinders the benefits of working out/exercising. It also crushed my B12 after years of use (never confirmed but strong feeling because I felt normal again after stopping). One day I love it, one day I am not sure about it. I'm off at the moment because I can't handle the awful dizziness I felt from the (I think) B12 loss, but will probably get back on a low dose at some point. The recent news about it preventing LVH is a big benefit. Switched to berberine for the past 2 months, and now going to cycle off that too.
 
I don’t eat a ton of carbs so what would be the lowest effective mg to take of Metformin while getting the benefits? I have heard some get flat from Metformin if not eating enough carbs.

Again I think youre guilty of taking data out of context. 90% of data on met is on diabetics. Plus it's my unprofessional opinion that the negative effect of met and workouts are generally from too big of a dip in circulating blood glucose, that can easily be avoided as can the b12/coq10 issue. I'm not saying I take met before lifts or cardio but id imagine it could be used with benefit in some scenarios.

I workout with only moderate frequency/volume and do no cardio yet stay very sensitive to glucose, my workout days at 400-500g and off days at 200-300g of carbs. I always had prior problems with spillover prior, especially when I used MK, but my last blast with MK and 1g-1.5g met I looked SO much better. My bloods have been pretty damn good recently but I didnt introduce met in a vacuum so I cant confirm or deny exactly the benefit met is providing health wise. I will counter with my SHBG is higher than I would like but that's more than just the mets fault.
