Well, I know there is no science behind this, it is to be placed in deficit of cals, I just hope you tell me about your experiences about the MINICUT, John Meadows recommends 4 to 6 weeks of cut of cals. And especially recommended a big cut in a little period, for example if you were in 3200 down to about 2200 for those 4 weeks. On the other hand John Jewett (competitor and face of ANIMAL) recommends 6 weeks, only lose 10% of deficit and go weighing week after week. What convinces them more here?when I finish I think it's best to go back to the maintenance calories

when i diet for contest, i like intermittent fasting every 3 weeks, it s a big cut you can make in a short period

There are two kinds of people - ones that prefer to suffer a little bit for a long period of time and ones that don't mind suffering a lot for a short period of time. I fall into the latter group. Your biggest concern is muscle loss, obviously, which is why most proponents of the mini cut don't recommend running them much longer than a few weeks. I'd much rather do that and jump straight back into maintenance than keep downgrading my metabolism and hormone levels. Rather than run a typical PSMF, though, I prefer keeping the carbs at nearly zero and add in a few more fats. It isn't nearly as tortuous that way, in my experience.

Why would you have to suffer??? I enjoy getting lean and I don't suffer or starve myself. ;)

I'm only speaking specifically within the context of a more severe calorie deficit should the OP decide to go that route. I'm not implying that's the only way to go, mind you.

I use the term "suffer" pretty loosely, as well; some guys think they "suffer" in even a small deficit...LOL. It's all relative, I suppose.

LOL, reminds me of guys asking me when they get their cheat meal on my diets. I tell them when I think they earned it. I tend to think you should be healthy all year and reward yourself cheat meals when you earn them. This way you won't need to do extreme things.

Lots of good ideas.

Maintaining is much easier than gaining muscle. If youre maintaining IF works. Eating less meals. Training on empty, esp certain bodyparts. You can take bcaas between meals, its still a whole lot less calories . Staying lean is awesome.

Every 2 or 3 weeks, do a week of cardio fasting and reduce your carbohydrates to 0, you can also reduce fat or use burners. Or just do not change anything, and run DNP, lol. Actually, it will improve your insulin sensitivity and lose some bodyfat.
