Training chest the day after triceps or back day after biceps. Bad Idea?

I understand most people say you shouldnt train your chest the day after you train Tris and you should train Back the day after biceps but most of us here are on the sauce so does that make it easier to get away with it without getting overtrained? My current split is

Day 1 Chest n Delts
Day 2 Back n Traps
Rest Day
Day 3 Legs
Day 4 Arms

They play such a role in CHEST training I do TRICEPS that same day.

I use good ole fashioned push/pull/legs.

I agree with alin
Day one chest shoulder tricep
day two back bicep
day three legs and abs.

Too hard on my elbows and shoulders to them on consecutive days. If you insist on a pure arm day at least put a one day buffer before and after it from any other pressing or pulling stuff.

Something like chest&back, legs, arms, rest day might work. While its true you have better protein synthesis and thus somewhat better recovery. Its also true that depending on your compounds used you might be compromising collagen and other components of recovery as well.

Even if I was on nandrolone and plenty of tb-500 I'd still leave a day buffer

unless you have ungodly developed arms, training the large chest and back muscles right after the small biceps and triceps is a waste

CHEST/SHOULDERS/TRICEPS

Works for me:
Then back + bize, forearms
off day
legs
abs
Every other week arm blast, strait bar curls-185pds
Overhead extensions- 185lbs in a superset fashion. W- forearms.
It Takes at least 2 full days for them to heal usaully three.

I train back after biceps , doing the DC 3 way. I guess it actually helps emphasising back while not letting your biceps be too involve.

For some reason if i train chest the day after arms im stronger it has always been that way.

Lately I've been doing chest/bi's first of the week. Shoulders/tri's wed, and back/traps/lats on fri. legs either tues or thurs and weekends off.
If I do chest/tris back to back, the latter workout always suffers and causes elbow issues
