I got ya back.
Here's what I did. Its really cheep, really effective.
First thing ya do, head over to Home Depot and buy this little guy. I think it was $10. We will be cutting it into 12" pieces.
Next, WalMart had bicycle grips, these are the ones I picked because of the end pieces. Doesn't matter really, were gonna cut 'em up anyway. I think these were $9
Now if your grips dont have those end pieces, just cut a small section out of the grip.
Then slide the rubber grips over the bars and place them where ever comfortable. CAREFUL: those end pieces on the bar are still strap as hell, as you can see, I sanded 'm down a little bit.
Next, take some athletic tape and tape the shit outta them. I actually only used 2 layers, so the grip stayed the same size. The little guys are cut to 12" They can hold a max of 80lbs. The big guys I cut to 20", they can hold 160lbs
Head down to Play It Again Sports and pickup as many pancake plates as you can lol. Mine had a sale, $.50/lb so needless to say I bought 'em out. Oh, dont forget to pickup those red clamps, there a few aisles down at the Depot.
