Splenda, great sugar substitute. Use it 1to 1 ratio.

I hate every sugar substitute besides honey and agave.

Crushed dehydrated apples wasn't so bad, but I just did it once.

But honey, albeit more useful, contains as many calories as sugar...

This is going to sound weird, but in my opinion there is no reason to quit adding sugar to the food.

I read some researchments, and people who changes sugar for stevia or sacarine, they still gain more fat. I think the wisest thing is using less sugar everytime. If you add it to your coffee, instead or 3 tea spoongs, add 2, then 1 and finally 1/2 or even no sweeteners.

For cooking you can using honey, and good and raw one. You can find some in Iherb that are great.

I use stevia myself. I'm not crazy about it but have yet to find a better natural alternative

I disagree with the premise. In most circumstances most people should be able to have some sugar in their diet.

But Splenda is a nice alternative for oats and baking and such

While were discussing sugar I've got a soda hack for you all. If you have anyone in your family or friends that cant quite kick the soda habit, try using half a soda mixed with equal parts of club soda or sparkling water. Cuts out half the sugar and calories and still has a decently sweet taste. Works best with your lighter color soda like Sprite and mt dew.

I do this with diet soda when I feel a urge to drink one. I'll like using diet sunkist.. its way too sweet even though it's artificial sugar. So half serving w/ diet sunkist mix half serving of orange sparkling water. Refreshing and not too artificial tasting as it was before. Great to have once in awhile.

In the last months I tried Vitabiber to add fiber to my diet, it is also a great substitute for sugar, but it is really addictive. I got to buy 10 kilos and I could eat half a kilo a day. Note that it inflamed my gut, being a derivative of corn should not be a good thing. When two pounds remained, I threw it in the trash.

I'll keep eating my flax seeds in off season and psillyum husks to cut.

Normally, I do not consume sugars or sugar substitutes, a pepsi max here and there, that's all. Even my protein shakes I buy neutral taste.

I use powdered monk fruit as a sugar substitute. It's zero calorie and tastes quite similar to real sugar.
