Good Oatmeal Recipies

I have a few good oatmeal recipies you can try while dieting:

1 cup oatmeal dry
1 cup of LANA'S EGGWHITES ( they are pasteurized)
2 tbsp PB

*Cook in the microwave until desired texture ( I go about 1min to 1 1/2min)
*Add the 2 tbsp of PB after cooking
*Add splenda to taste
*Enjoy!!


When you are dieting stricter:

1 cup oatmeal dry
1 cup of LANA'S EGGWHITES ( they are pasteurized)
1 Tbsp of Pollander's Sugar Free Jelly

*Cook in the microwave until desired texture ( I go about 1min to 1 1/2min)
*Add the 1 tbsp of jelly after cooking
*Add splenda to taste
*Enjoy!!

Just thought I would share those as they both taste good as hell to me, maybe they will to you too....;) :p :D
 
oats w/ splenda, sprinkle with cinnamon, top with butter spray, and some sugar free mrs buttersworth. oh ......eat that layer and repeat the process. hahaha...thats so good.:D
 
Sugarfree ms. butterworths huh? Good call. Strongmind was telling me about that the other day how good it tasted and I took her word for it but it sounds like I need to check that out for sure..
 
old fashioned oats, cook and then refrigerate overnight, then put in the freezer for an hour or so.. add whey, splenda, cinnamon / cake spice.. mix and eat. yummy like ice cream.


ice cream float - whey and ice and oats (splenda too) and a can of diet coke or diet mt. dew, put in blender for a minute on high and go. yummm

i take 10 egg whites, 1 1/2 cups oats (dry). mix up and pour as 4 pancakes onto skillet. while cooking, sprinkle cinnamon on top. after cooked, top with i can't believe it's not butter, splenda and sugar free log cabin syrup. tastes sooo good! i eat em every morning while dieting. totals are around 50 gr. protein, and 81 gr. carbs.
 
Man that sounds good man, I need to get strongmind on here and start busting out all of her concoctions she has in her little recipie book...She has some pretty creative stuff and the girl knows every single nonfat, sugarfree, free everything you can think of that something could be free of food...lol
 
You say 50g protein, but in 10 egg whites there's only 30g protein, and in the
oatmeal maybe 5-10.
 
You'd be surprised how calorie dense oatmeal is. I think if you were to go 10 egg whites (@ 30grams/white) and 120 grams of oatmeal; you come out with:

83carbs(57%),47protein(32%),7.5fat(11%)
I like to add a scoop of protein shake to it; and a smidge of natty peanut butter.

What I'll do (and probably for dinner now)

300g eggwhite;
100g oatmeal
30g protein shake
***Cooked
10g natty peanut butter on top
************************
700 calories:
44%carb,38%prot,18%fat

damn good

well, there are 4g. of protein in each large egg white, 6g. with yolk. so, just from the egg whites, it's 40gr. and then there is 5g. in each 1/2 cup of oatmeal, so that's another 15g. from the oatmeal. totaling between 50-55gr. or protein.

Ive been dieting for the last 3 weeks in prep for my DVD and these pancakes are saving my ass , tastes so danm good, i use Mrs buttersworth sugar free its the best.

Too close to my show to try them V but I definitely have my eye on them too. After I eat bad for a full week and get back into the swing of things as I need to add some variety in my offseason meal plan really bad, I get stuck in food ruts real bad where I eat teh same damm thing everyday until i end up getting so sick of it..

I eat my oats damn near frozen too. But where do you get cake spice?

Great idea on the freezing thing !berserker, I have been freezing my whey and oats I eat twice a day for snacks and it tastes awsome!

Any other good ideas people have for oatmeal?

savory oatmeal

I make oatmeal with chicken soup instead of water, Then mix in my favorite (sugar free) salsa for a savory treat.
 
"Chocolate Oatmeal Turds" (as we call them in my house)

1 cup Oats
2 Tbsp Baking Chocolate Powder
1/2 cup Splenda
30g Choc Prot. Powder
Egg Whites roughly 4oz


mix the first 4 ingredents in bowl add egg whites till you have a thick paste

blob onto pam coated cookie sheet ( 3 blobs or so)

bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes or until firm ( don't overcook )

serve right away eat with spray butter...yummy


carbs= 60 Prot=57 Fat=6

So you don't put any water in at all? just the egg whites?
 
A few ideas to make your oatmeal taste better.

Apple Cinnamon: Add chopped apple or a few teaspoons of natural, unsweetened applesauce to oatmeal and cook. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Fruit & Cream: Add a little milk or vanilla protein powder and a few strawberries or blueberries to oatmeal or mix in a teaspoon of sugar free preserves.

Maple Walnut: Add 1 tbsp sugar-free pancake syrup and a few chopped walnuts.

French Vanilla: Add 1 tsp vanilla, a splash of low-fat milk, and a packet of Splenda.

Cinnamon Raisin: Try using a few dashes of cinnamon, a splash of sugar-free maple syrup and a teaspoon of raisins instead of flavored packets.

Protein Boost: Stir in 1 scoop of your favorite protein powder.

Butter Pecan: Add a splash of imitation butter flavor, teaspoon of butter substitute or a few dashes of Butter Buds and a teaspoon of chopped pecans.
