Attempt [PICS]

So I was at home and I wanted to make something different that the usual chicken breast. So this time I went for some broccolis, shrimps, and the actual chicken with pasta.

Check it out:

The Broccolis

The Pasta

The Chicken With garlic and Salt

The Shrimps

Final Result

So what I did was.

Chopped the chicken breast temper them with salt and garlic

Then I add the broccolis and started cooking them really slow with olive oil and some more garlic

I boiled the shrimps and taken their skin off, and chopped them

Mixed the chicken and the shrimps and let it cook.

Mix the past to all of it and voilà!

Hope you guys like it.

Cooked for a while in a casual fine dining restaurant. Didn't run dishes combining poultry and seafood often, but did so every once in a while... This does look tasty, though!! And in the end, thats all that matters

Shrimp and Chicken combo.

They do it in Thai food restaurants all the time.

Some chinese dishes combine both as well. Usually if you get extra shrimp. Not that it applies here, but most of the fried chicken places also combine, fish and Shrimp in dinner combos as well. But I guess traditionally it's not too common with American dishes.

I don't understand why you use head on shrimp though. Do you prefer the taste? I used to make a similar dish minus the chicken, and seasoned with olive oil, and pepper, I also used fresh garlic. But the Pasta and Brocolli was the same.

Furthermore, the Thai dishes like Pad Khee Mao, (sp) is Noodles, tomato, brocolli, shrimp and Chicken breast with some kind of seasoning maybe soy sauce. soy sauce may be a good addition to your plate, come to think of it.

Thanks for sharing, I may try something like this on the weekend.

I did used soya sauce
And I took the shrimps heads and skin after boiling them.
Here in Portugal we eat things that probably you guys (USA) wouldn't like it.

Thanks for you input

Looks great. I love chicken with other meats like seafood and/or sausage.

I never saw a shrimp with it's head on ... interesting. I always wondered what they looked like whole. I have never seen them sold that way in the states.

Looks very tasty. I'd be adding crushed pepper as a finishing touch.

Here in the USA we mix chicken and shrimp. In fact we have an American dish we call Jambalaya. It's chicken, shrimp, sausage, rice, tomatoes, celery, and spices. Sometimes pasta instead of rice. And the spicier the better!!

Thanks for sharing

I eat chicken and shrimp together all the time.

I like how used pictures to show the initial and then finished result.

What other types of dishes are popular in Portugal?

Oliveironni:

The dish looks great and I like all the ingredients. Nice changeup on the chicken and broccoli. I usually finish the broccolli with a little terayaki for a change of pace.

Do you guys have Scamp? I eat them daily in Italy but cannot find them in the US. Here is the US when you ask for Scamp they assume you mean Scampi which is a preparation style. We also have a member of the Grouper family caught in the Gulf called Scamp. I cannot find the Scamp however. Love them grilled or just marinated and served raw. Sometimes I get a meal of both. When I'm traveling along the coast I will just about empty out the market at the docks! Thanks for the recipe.
