I like many of you have trouble gaining weight into the off season and I have found the cure!
Use hands or kitchen aid with the hook attachment to mix
Peanutbutter protein balls
2 cups old fashioned oats
1 12 oz peanut butter can
8 tbsp honey
2 cups of shredded coconut
1 cup ground flax seed
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1 tbsp vanilla
6 scoops of BCAA powder non flavored
4 scoops clean whey protein chocolate flavor works best
After mixing well form into small 1.5" diameter balls and place into fridge
Calories are as follows, makes approx 20 balls
per ball C30g,F17,P15 I make them bigger and drink with non fat milk. They're off the chain and really help getting those extra calories and protein in.
Coconut oil,all natural peanutbutter, flax, and dark choclate is all great fat. Oats and carbs from cocnut are LOW GI. Natural honey help you fight you build up your tollerance to allergens in the off season.Fills you up for a good 3 hours if you eat 3 of them with a glass of milk and you're really pumping in the calories in relatively good sources.
