Own tomatoes sauce or bought from market ?

So far I took it only from the supermarket, but have tasted tomatoes sauce make by a buddy of mine and I must say it tasted so delicious and natural that I intend to make my own in the house. How do you guys do it ? I appreciate.
 
I make my own Napoli sauce from scratch. Google napoli sauce from italian cooking sites.
 
yesterday I went over my friends' parents house and his mom makes her own ketchup and it tasted damn good.

I wish I could make calorie free sauces like the ones at HEB so I don't have to pay almost $4 for each one of them.
 
very simple: 2 spoon olive oil and stir fry one chopped onion in it, when the onion start getting dark just add 2 tins of Hunts tomatoe sauce ( the simple one with no salt added or spices) put some salt, 2 spoon of ketchup. mix it up well, set the stove to low and cover it. Slow cook it until it get dense enuff, usually takes about 45 min.Stir it every 10 min. Very nice and a quick healthy way to eat pasta.
 
the quality of tomato that you use is extremely important for the longest time I couldnt get myself to pay 3x the cost for San Marzano canned tomatoes which is what all the chefs on food network recommend I finally did and the difference is just ridiculous besides that its very simple garlic onion basil oregano
