yearly check in and found possible thyroid issue

wanted to get some thoughts on this.

male in mid 30's

Blood work as follows:

t3 free- 2.9 range 3.5-4.2
t4 free- 1.40 range 0.70-1.53
TSH 4.910 range 0.35-2.1

Doc is concerned about the low T3 and high TSH
is suggesting 12.5 of T3 and 25 of T4 then re-test blood in 6 weeks

any thoughts?

Sounds like a good doctor to me. The thyroid is such a easy problem to fix. You can take out the thyroid and give someone t4 and they will be fine. The worst that's going to happen is you might lose a little weight by him doing that. No big deal..
