Proscar only on cycle

From what I've read it takes a little while for Finasteride/Proscar to kick in and start working. Does anyone know in general how long before a cycle I should start taking it? How long after the cycle I should take it for? I only loose hair on cycle, so I only want to do it on cycle to help minimize the sides.

Finasteride takes between 3 to 6 months for the full effect to kick in. I wouldn't think it would be worthwhile coming on and off Finasteride.

I agree...finasteride takes awhile to be effective so not so helpful to cycle. However, I do increase my use if on to compensate. I take 1/4 tab of Proscar (1.25 mg) fina when off and increase to 1/2 tab or more, depending on amount of T supplemented, when on. I usually just increase finasteride dose a couple of weeks before starting since T will also build up over time if using more traditional approach to cycling.
