I have been a bodybuilder and powerlifter my whole adult life and have recently decided to get into Arm Wrestling. I retired from powerlifting competition back in 2009 and now I have found another outlet to compete in. I am 58 years old at 205 Lbs. My question is how often should one train for this type of competition? Do you train your forearms everyday hitting it at different angles or give yourself some time to heal like every other day? I pull for two hours once a week which gets me pretty sore. I have been told to do high reps the next day to get the soreness out but since I have been lifting for over 40 years it sounds like over training. Any thoughts on this? Thank you in advance
