I pay over $100 a month for cable so my (pre) teenagers can watch TV.

If I dump cable what do I get if I go with Hulu and/or Netflicks?

Assume I'm a technological dunderhead. Do these hook directly into my TV? What do they cost? What do they offer? Are there better options?

Can I still watch The Vikings on the history channel? :)

What do you guys do?

Look into roku...it's stream content through Internet to tv. Has netflix...it'd 8 bucks per month. Roku itself doesn't have monthly fees just the cost of the unit and hdmi cable. Unit is 50 to 100 bucks.

Depending on your Internet provider can get espn and some other stuff streamed live.

Most of the good content is pay...I just have Netflix...

Lots of content. Works great. They have vikings on Netflix but I'm not sure if current shows or what since I don't watch that show.

If one of your pre teenagers has a PS3 you can have netflix on that. $8-16 a month you can have several DVDs sent to you at a time

What about NCIS and the like. My kids are huge fans of NCIS. Can you get current shows with anything except cable?

Is it just the price that's the issue or are you sick of actual cable? Could always switch to directv. But comcast/verizon have $79.99 packages for phone internet and cable...at least they did
