Well, the wave of 3TB drives are on the move. I have found numerous anomolies when it comes to these. For instance, Dell with Intel chipsets need to be set to "Autodetect ATA" instead of "Autodetect AHCI" or "RAID On" to see them for the 3TB that they have. Otherwie they show up as about 760+- GB. Booting from a 3TB drive is only available in a few motherboards that can boot from the newer EUFI instead of MBR since MBR has a limit of little less than about 2.2TB. MBR is legacy at this point and comes from the 1970s. Otherwise you get a 2+TB partition and a 760+ GB partition with MBR. again, there is no way to do a 3 TB with MBR because the limitation of a 32 bit DWORD. EVEN if you have a 64 bit OS, the format is still the same. It will utilize a 32 bit allocation. So feel free to add your experiences here and we will attempt to work through the problems.
