Site specific acne?

My buddy recently stopped shooting his delts and now claims to stick to just quads and glutes and has virtually no issues anymore with acne developing on his chest, back, shoulders and even face. He previously would have some pretty serious breakouts to the point he couldn't even wear tank tops anymore (not for fear of looking like a douchebag...(other thread) but from the embarrassing look of acne ridden skin). Anyone else ever observe this and have any ideas as to why this may be? Also for you guys that suffer with bad acne issues possibly give the upper torso shots a rest and see if it helps. I thought it would be a systemic effect but I have seen the results with my own eyes.

Acne in regards to hormones is usually the result of fluctuations in hormones levels. Therefore it is most common during the start or end of a cycle or during a sudden increase/decrease in dose. Whilst acne can be seen anytime during a cycle due to the sheer level of hormones and their side effects (oily skin etc)... I think your friend has likely 'stabalized'. My skin always goes great in the middle of a cycle regardless of what I am on.

Hey like I stated acne can come about anytime... moreover it is not just caused by hormones. But I think the site in whcih he is injecting would have little or no effect. Although it is a possibility due to the higher levels of androgens in the particular area so you may be onto something. I would wait for him to come off then see... I imagine he will get acne in the back/shoulder area. By the way that is the most common area for acne in adults. The glands change over time and are must abduntant in the upper back area... something I am experiencing myself really badly

Patches of skin on different body parts get oily and retain that oil in different ways. has he changed his shaving pattern or shaving products lately? might also be a skin rash when mixed with sweat. other than that it sounds coincidental

I don't see how where you inject would make any difference at all.
