Anyone ever lose sense of taste during slin peak?

While using humalog I like to finish my intra at the end of my workout and then wait until I feel that second peak coming and then I like to do a bowl of cereal with scoop of vanilla protein in the skim milk. That second peak allows me to get a bowl of cereal in so to speak.

Twice now half way through the bowl of cereal I literally lose my sense of taste. It happened about a year ago and then again yesterday. Very strange sensation not being able to taste.

Just curious if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone may have a theory on why or how this could happen, its perplexing to me

I've had times off cycle where I was eating things like plain brown rice and it tasted super sweet to me. Literally like someone dumped a bowl of sugar on it.

It may be related to your diet? have you noticed any tends among what you're eating when this happens?

I've noticed that if I go zero carb for a long time any type of carb will taste sweet to me, like even a piece of bread.

But losing my sense of taste seems to only come when that second peak hits with humalog. It's really weird when it happens, you go from tasting a sweet bowl of cereal to it tasting like cardboard.
