Do you guys use all organic/free range/ hormone free chicken and beef or since we eat so much just get what is on sale?

I wish I could eat free range all the time except it is just so expensive.

Do you think that the quality of the meat really matters as far as gains go?
 
I try to get my meats from the local butcher or at least get it free range from the supermarket.
 
My father in law owns a small farm. I go in with him and my brother in law, and we buy beef at the cattle sell. Over the years we would buy and breed, he has a friend that processes the meat for us all to split. Grass fed and grass finished. I get my eggs from the chickens he has, and make up other meats from what we hunt/catch.

Not sure about how much better the quality is, but the taste is noticeably better.

My wife still owns her house on their property so we grow a big garden every year too.

If I could afford the better stuff, I'd eat it. Budget dictates my diet in that sense right now.
 
It's not what you get with organic foods it's what your not getting that matters. Your not getting the hormones, antibiotics, pesticides and other garbage in mass produced food. Join a co op and buy part of a cow 1/4 or 1/2 and you will be set.

Organic foods still use pesticides (just not chemically derived) cage free just means the chickens are all crowded into one pen instead of being seperate, and if hormones from beef were bioavailable no one would need a site for aas.
 
There is a lot of research as how organic and free range and grass fed products are so much better for you. But as said above, Budget will dictate.
