I need some help here. Is there any info on bulking and diabetes 2 anywhere? I have a tendancy to loose weight the more carbs I take in. Would it make sense to eat only low glycemic carbs? I am not on insulin or oral pancreas stimulators, but have diet controled the disease before. Now, this week, raised calories with carbs = higher blood sugar & weight loss. Should I take insulin and chance dependancy (if that's what happens, I don't know.) I'm not needing to gain big time. I just wrapping up loose ends on physique. I've competed 4 times now. 210, 5' 9", 8% today. I know this is pathetic, but I know no docs who I could talk to.

I'll take a stab at this.
My guess is that you filter glucose at the kidney when you raise your carbs, and you're going to eliminate water as this happens. This might explain why the higher carb intake results in weight loss. You can test this by getting some GlucoStix at the drugstore to test for glucose in your urine.

You should be able to add size by eating a high-protien, high EFA type diet, while sticking with the high-fibre, low-glycemic carbs. You might try for 2-2.5 gms of protein per pound (so 420-520 gms protein daily), and 100 or so gms of mostly things like Flaxseed oil. You didn't say what your current caloric intake is, but a place to start might be to increase this by 10% or so, with the modifications mentioned.
 
I say to stay with low GI carbs - I just started to emphasize this is my diet. My main carb is now Pearled Barley, GI ~25. Also eat green veggies and some fruits and oats for breakfast.
