injecting subcutaneously

well i was injecting into my glute and while i was injecting i think i may have pulled the needle out some so i'm not sure i i injected into the muscle or subcutaneously. what happens if you inject subcutaneously? do you get an abcess or is there only a small chance that you will. also how long does it take before you can tell

AS LONG AS THE INJ PROCEDURE WAS GOOD THEN NO YOU WILL NOT GET AN INFECTION. IT WILL SHOW A VERY NOTICABLE BUMP AND THE ONLY THING IS TO MESSAGE IT A LOT AND IT WILL GO AWAY.

thanks. i'm new to injecting and that was only my second time. the 1st time went really smooth and i was acually pretty surprise at how painless it was. i just had a hard time reaching my glute and thats why it got pulled out a little. i'm really not sure if it was in the muscle the whole time or not. i think i might try my quads next time. would not being in the muscle effect absortion at all.

YES IF YOU DIDN'T HIT THE ACTUAL MUSCLE THEN THE STRUCTURE OF THE COMPOUNDS WILL START TO BREAK DOWN BEFORE YOUR MUSCLES GET TO USE THEM BUT ONLY MARGINAL. JUST PUSH IT BACK IN NEXT TIME AND AS YOU STRESS PAIN DURING THE INJ. REMIND YOUR SELF IT IS ALOT EASIER IF YOU JUST RELAX. IF YOU HIT THE QUAD NEXT TIME DO IT RIGHT BEFORE YOUR WORK OUT THAT WAY IT WILL HELP CYCLE THROUGH YOUR MUSCLES AS YOU WILL BE VERY SORE FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

Make sure you are using at least a 1" pin, and do not fear going too deep. you can push it down with a lot of pressure, where the plastic tip that connects the actual needle indents your skin from the pressure you apply, another tip for holding steady I have used (works well with 1.5" pins) Take a pair of scissors and cut the plastic cap on the needle so that about 1" will be exposed after you recap it. This gives the syringe a base that has a flatter and more surface area to keep the pin steady.
